This page lists every cookie and every key Vantage Workforce keeps in your browser, and why. It is a short list, because we do not track you.

2.The website (vantagewfm.com)

The website sets no cookies. It keeps one key in your browser:

KeyWhat it holdsHow long
vantage-themeLight or dark, if you chose one with the header switchUntil you clear it

It loads no scripts, fonts, or frames from other companies. Our fonts are served from our own site.

4.The app: browser storage

These keys are kept in your browser’s local storage:

KeyWhat it holds
vw:last-activeWhen you were last active, so you are signed out after an hour without activity, in every open tab
vw:idle-signed-outA note that you were signed out for being idle, so the sign-in page can say so
vantage-themeLight or dark
vantage-recentThe last few tools you opened, for the quick links
vantage-dashboardHow you arranged your dashboard
vantage-pushThis device's push address, if you turned notifications on
vantage-push-offer-dismissedThat you closed the offer to turn notifications on
vantage-punch-queue:{you}Clock-ins and clock-outs made without a signal, with their time and location, until they are sent
vantage.knowledge.{workspace}.{you}Knowledge Base articles you opened, so you can read them without a signal
vantage.schedule.layoutThe schedule layout you picked (month, week, or day) and how it is grouped
vantage.schedule.ai.*The last request you typed into Build with AI
social:viewThe Social Planner calendar view you picked
wd-outbox:{document}Edits to a document not yet sent, until they reach our servers
wd-dictionaryWords you added to the spelling dictionary in Docs

And in your browser’s IndexedDB:

DatabaseWhat it holds
vantage-formsForms you started and submissions waiting for a signal, with their photos and signatures
vantage-tasksTask changes made without a signal, until they are sent
firebaseLocalStorageDbYour sign-in, kept by our sign-in provider so you stay signed in between visits until the session ends
firebase-messaging-database, firebase-installations-database, firebase-heartbeat-databaseCreated by our notifications provider only if you turn on push notifications

Offline copies are removed once they are sent. Signing out ends your sign-in; the settings stay until you clear your browser’s site data.

5.Other companies' content in the app

A few features load content from other companies, only when you use them. Those companies may set their own cookies under their own policies:

  • Google Maps, on the map admins use to draw a job site’s fence.
  • Google Drive’s file picker, when you attach a Drive file in chat.
  • YouTube and Vimeo, when a training course plays a video from them. YouTube videos use its privacy-enhanced mode.
  • GIPHY, which serves the GIFs, stickers, and clips you search for and pick in chat.

If you turn on push notifications, your browser registers a small background script from our notifications provider so notices can arrive while the app is closed.

6.Your choices

You can clear cookies and site data in your browser’s settings at any time. Clearing them signs you out and forgets your settings; anything waiting to be sent without a signal would be lost, so connect first. Turning off notifications in Settings, Notifications removes the push address. Your browser’s Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track setting needs nothing from us, because we do no tracking for it to switch off.

More about how we handle information is in our Privacy Policy. Questions: [email protected].
